What we do

The South West Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (ODN) brings together clinical professionals from across multidisciplinary teams, along with managers, commissioners, neonatal families and the voluntary sector.

We collaborate across the region to ensure delivery of high-quality care that is centred on infants and delivered in partnership with parents and families.

Together, the network membership aims to:

  • Provide care as close as home as possible

  • Promote and share best practice

  • Ensure families are central partners in all care that they receive and that they are provided with clear and consistent information and support

  • Monitor service and clinical quality against national standards

  • Develop, implement and monitor neonatal clinical pathways

  • Develop neonatal workforce strategies in order to develop services which are sustainable for the future

  • Develop and implement neonatal clinical practice guidelines

  • Provide a neonatal education program which is accessible for all clinical staff
